These Terms & Conditions govern your use of English-Productions.com and its related services. English Productions is a division of Chris English Designs. By using this website, creating an account, purchasing a membership, or submitting information, you agree to these terms.
1. About the Website
English Productions operates this website to share information about its films, offer membership content, communicate with audiences, and maintain a casting database for current and future productions. References to “English Productions,” “we,” “us,” or “our” include Chris English Designs where applicable.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate and current information when creating an account or submitting a form. You are responsible for protecting your password and for activity occurring through your account. You may not impersonate another person, submit information without permission, or use the website for unlawful purposes. Actor database applicants must be at least 18 years old.
3. Premium Memberships and Billing
Paid memberships may be offered monthly, annually, or under another clearly disclosed billing schedule. Prices and included benefits are displayed before purchase and may change for future billing periods. Payments are processed by Stripe or another identified payment processor; English Productions does not store complete payment-card numbers.
Unless otherwise stated during checkout, recurring memberships continue until canceled. Members may manage or cancel billing through the billing portal. Cancellation generally prevents future renewals and does not automatically create a refund for a period already purchased. Refund requests may be considered individually where required by law or where a service was not delivered as described.
4. Member Content and Voting
Premium posts, screenings, behind-the-scenes materials, polls, and other member content are provided for the member’s personal, noncommercial use. Polls and votes may help guide creative decisions, but they do not create an ownership interest, financing interest, employment relationship, or guarantee that a selected project will be produced.
5. Actor and Casting Submissions
Submitting an actor profile does not guarantee an audition, role, employment, compensation, or a response. You confirm that the information, headshot, reel, and other materials you submit belong to you or that you have permission to provide them.
You grant English Productions and Chris English Designs permission to store, review, reproduce internally, and share your submitted materials with production personnel for casting and production planning. We will share an actor’s information with unrelated directors or outside productions only when the actor has given permission, except where disclosure is legally required. Any future role, compensation, credit, release, or production obligation must be established in a separate written agreement.
6. Intellectual Property
The website and its films, videos, artwork, logos, text, graphics, photographs, member materials, and other original content are owned by or licensed to English Productions or Chris English Designs and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view the website for personal use, but you may not reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, publicly display, scrape, or exploit its content without written permission.
7. User Conduct
You may not interfere with the website’s operation or security; attempt unauthorized access; upload malicious code; harass others; submit unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or abusive material; collect information about other users; or use automated systems to copy content or overload the website.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may link to or use third-party services, including Stripe, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and external image tools. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party websites, availability, content, security, or actions.
9. Availability and Disclaimers
We work to keep the website accurate and available, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, specific creative or casting outcomes, or that every item of information will remain current.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, English Productions, Chris English Designs, and their owners, personnel, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the website. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid directly to English Productions through the website during the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify English Productions and Chris English Designs from claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, your violation of these terms, or materials you submit without the necessary rights or permission.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the website, other users, our rights, or legal compliance. Provisions concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.
13. Pennsylvania Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in an appropriate state or federal court with jurisdiction in Pennsylvania, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the website and its services change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised terms.
